My Story
My name is Sema. I am a Ceramic Sculptor, Restorer, Visual Arts Teacher, and 3D Designer.

After graduating from the Ceramics Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2010, I founded my own studio and started giving workshops. I also collaborated with public education centers, offering community art classes and organizing exhibitions. At the same time, I worked as a Visual Arts Teacher in public high schools, focused on inspiring a love of art in younger generations.

Later, I began working as a restorer, taking part in Turkey’s first furniture restoration project at Yildiz Palace. I was also part of the restoration team at the iconic Hagia Sophia Museum.

For the past ten years, I’ve been working as a 3D designer, mostly on international interior architecture projects and often spending time onsite. During these work trips, I’ve also taken the chance to visit museums in some of the world’s most inspiring cities like New York, London, Cairo, Moscow, Berlin, Amsterdam, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Rome, and Basel which helps me keep growing my artistic perspective.

Since 2020, I have returned to my roots and started creating again in my studio in Beyoglu, Istanbul.

Each piece I create tells a quiet story. These are the stories I share through clay.
